The experiences highlighted below are a true account of first hand experiences by our patients at St Philip’s Hospital.
Naturally we are very pleased to publish these letters as they are essentially a testimonial of the dedication of our staff to our patients.

I have now arrived back in my flat in London and I would like to pass on my appreciation to you for the kindness and standard of care I received during my recent stay at St Philips.

From the initial contact through the internet to my departure everything was handled in a most efficient and professional way, and I appreciated being allowed to remain at the hospital until my departure.
There are many others on the staff also who were also very supportive , especially when I was feeling very low after the operation - including the cleaning and catering staff.
Could you also pass on my special thanks to Dr Briffa and his colleague, and to the anaesthetist (whose name I do not remember) for his expertise and the beautiful classical music played in theatre.

When my face is looking more normal in a few weeks I will send some photos so the finished result can be seen by you all, and I hope to return to Malta before too long so I can see more of Malta.

First of all I apologise for sending this message by e-mail rather than the more traditional method of a proper letter but in today''''s busy work and long commuting hours environment I hope you will forgive me. Please pass on the message below to those concerned.

My husband and I just wanted to say a very big "thank you" to all the staff on Ward 1 who cared for us during our short stay at St. Philip''''s when we fell ill whilst on holiday in Malta. I had never been in hospital before and felt extremely nervous and apprehensive at the prospect. I needn''''t have worried as everyone was very friendly, kind and helpful and immediately put me at my ease. There was also such a good team spirit on the ward. We would like to extend a special thank you to our consultant Dr. Bernard Coleiro, a superb doctor, who apart from being extremely proficient was also very thoughtful and considerate which we greatly appreciated.

Unknown to the staff of Ward 1 we were actually celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary - we must admit we would rather have been given a bottle of champagne than a drip feed bottle! Seriously though, your wonderful treatment did get us better very quickly.

Once again, many thanks indeed and we will certainly recommend St. Philip''''s Hospital to all our family, friends and business colleagues.
